It was my honor and privilege to take this photograph of 8 heroes from WWII, one of whom was a medic on the beach in Normandy 70 years ago which would be the man on the far right, Howard Hampton. As I stood there photographing living history, realizing that the youngest person would most likely be at least 88 years of age, I felt this amazing sense of pride and gratitude for what these brave individuals did for God and Country. With a choked up voice, I simply told them, "THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
