so here's the man himself, playing that sweet resonator guitar, sunday night at the 2009 rhythm & roots festival, charlestown, rhode island, the jerry douglas band
and it was not really bluegrass, but great nonetheless

Cool! ; He is the man, indeed. ; I thought it was entirely cool of him to play with my dad's band for their children's project...class act all the way and a heck of a slide hand too. ; Unmistakeable sound - I'd love to hear him live. ; Only been to one bluegrass festival and he wasn't there (his band or Krauss'). ; Haven't yet had the pleasure in person.

i can't remember the title of this piece, but it was the sweetest, melodic, vaguely scottish air, jerry seemed to be feeling it too, and what a setting, under the stars, the crowd was quiet, just good music being heard on the night air
