Pixelmania 2024 WDW thread

The dates for the December 2024 Pixelmania meet at WDW are Wednesday December 11th to Sunday the 15th 0t 2024

Chime in with a post here to let us know if you will be coming and where you'll be staying. I'll aggregate the responses in this post. This post is also the place to post discussions about the trip.

1. Joanie's dates in Orlando, Cabana Bay, 12/5/24 to 12/11/24 (with Karl, Evan & Lewis). Then at Hilton Tuscany Villages until Friday Dec. 20th 2024

2. Dennis: Dec. 6 - 10 Cabana Bay. Dec. 10 - 17 Pop Century.

3. Gary, party of 37 hangers on, @ Beach Club Villas, tentative dates are 12/9 to 12/16

4. Red w/riff raff in Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo, 12/7 to 12/18

5. Gary & Sherry Wed.Dec. 11th to Sunday Dec. 15th @Kidani

6. Justin Wed. Dec 11th to Monday Dec. 16th @Boardwalk

7. Dave and Gillian Wednesday 12/11- Tuesday 12/17 at Kidani

8. Nancy 12/9 -12/16 Pop Century

 

The schedule for Pixelmania 2024 has been deciphered and declassified!

• First, park reservations will open on October 8th for Annual Pass holders.
• Please see the DINING SIGN UP post in this Pixelmania forum for Dining sign ups so we have a number for the ~DINING COMMITTEE~ to make reservations.

Wednesday Dec. 11th Dinner at Toledo, Time TBD followed by Yehaa Bob Jackson, at Disney's Port Orleans Resort

Thursday Dec. 12th MAGIC KINGDOM in the morning and afternoon, we will NOT be going to MVMCP this year so we hop to EPCOT when they kick us out for MVMCP and ride Guardians until brain damage ensues.

Friday Dec. 13th EPCOT all day, with a lunchish TBD meal at the Biergarten with a Candlelight processional package for those that wish to indulge.

Saturday Dec. 14th Hollywood Studios all day and we are doing the Jollywood nights party in the evening here. We will have Lunch at 50's Primetime Cafe, time TBD

Sunday Dec. 15th Animal Kingdom Dining will probably be counter service somewhere in the park

I’ll know my actual dates mid January… but tentatively it’s 12/7 to 12/18 and most likely staying with the riff-raff at AKL (Jambo for a change)

My dates are now official (**save any airline conflicts with Allegiant**)…

I will be my usual RiffRaff self, but now Kidani-Adjacent… I got a Savannah View at Jambo from 12/7 (Saturday) to 12/18 (Wednesday).

unfortunately no longer available in hot pink, or orange, or yellow, only black or blue

 

Whereas me, with my big honking Manfrotto tripod, waltzes through security with absolutely zero resistance.

However, every two or three years a clueless Karen CM at the gates (not security), (why is it ALWAYS at Hollywood Studios??), will stop me because she thinks no one is allowed to bring any tripods into the park at all.

I call for backup from a manager and ̶r̶e̶q̶u̶e̶s̶t̶ ̶ INSIST!! to go to guest services with the Karen cast member to ̶s̶c̶h̶o̶o̶l̶ ̶ ̶ educate her dumb ass in the proper tripod policy.

This almost always results in Karen backing down.
