Testing out the new lens

    Well new to me... ; :)

    28-70/2.8D, using Hoya's new HD filter, supposed to reduce internal flares.

    Penguins at "sunset"

    This is something I hadn't seen before...they were simulating sunset in the exhibit at 1 pm.

    Looking Great Roger. I've got a Hoya UV HD Filter arriving today for the 70-200 2.8L, along with a Hoya 4x Star Cross Filter.

    Very nice Roger- a lot of people prefer the 28-70 over the newer 24-70. ; I had one before going to FX (before there WAS FX except film) and love it but it was just not wide enough on the DX platform. ; I think you will really like it.

    Yeah I noticed that comment about not upgrading from the 28 Jeff.

    The price difference was worth it as well!

    the flower looks stunning on my monitor
    and if you ever get a chance roger, ask the keepers for me why the artificial sunset, is the longer dark needed for some kind of nutrition/behavioral balance in the birds
