No, not that track. ; That comes later this month. ; I'm talking about Track and Field. ; Had beautiful light and air last night and took advantage by photographing a high school track and field event. ; All photos taken with a Nikon D70 and 70-200VR f/2.8 lens.

Preparing for the race. ; It's all about the psych-music

Light was very directional and "clean" for lack of a better word. ; Wait until you see what I photograph this weekend. ; ;)

Great set, Scott. ; I like the determined expressions on the last three.

Here in Indianapolis in May, "the track" means only one thing: ; The Indy 500!

That I do know, Dennis. ; Things kick off this weekend there, right? ; Will you be going to any of the events?

If there's one think you can count on at a sporting event is great facial expressions. ; Most of the running shots where taken at 70mm (105mm cropped) as I was that close.

Thanks, Howie! ; He does look like Dexter! ; First him and then a Paul-look-a-like. ; Neat.

As Mark said, the "30 Days in May" has been reduced to four days of practice (starting May 15) and two days of qualifying. ; Nonetheless, I hope to get to at least one day of practice and then return for the free ZZ Top concert on Carb Day. ; (In between, I'll be at Star Wars Weekend!)

Nice work Scott! ; I really like the facial expressions... they really show the focus and determination of the athlete.
