Beacon of the Frontier

Tripod? And was it 8 secs at f/4? or 1/8 sec?

Well I did place my camera on one of the lightposts stands surrounding the rivers of america to act as a tripod since i didn't have one on hand.

For the exposure not too sure. I'm not very well aquainted with all the terminaology yet.

It looks like just a little motion blur...what you can do with a Canon (although it's probably buried in a menu somewhere), is to activate the mirror lockup and then use a self-timer mode to activate the shutter. That way you have the best chance to not be pushing the camera when the shutter opens - assuming you're not using a remote shutter release, which would be the best.

That setting with the two combined will be like this: push the button, mirror locks up...waits 2 or 10 secs, then the shutter opens for the pic.

I think this is a great shot - the blur just gives it a dream quality. Gorgeous colors. What time of day was this?
