Canon Engineers Held Back!

I wonder if any of those engineers actually asked them to hold back the Edsel....their marketing department is still smarting from that. Seeing more black lenses at a sporting event when there used to just be white has to hurt.
But I've been mad at the MP war for a while now, since the P&S are now going to 14+ MP from a teeny tiny sensor. And wondering why people get upset over image quality? It's dumb to replace an old P&S with the same model but the current version of it, it has more MP and worse IQ. With SLRs they have continued to refine IQ (Considering how bad ISO 800 was with the D30 at 3mp, compared to 6400+ now....) within reason. But you can't cram more MP into a sensor without sacrificing quality unless you change the way you are building the chip...

But I wonder how he feels that his future new camera still has a green box mode (now with RAW!) but doesn't have a pop-up flash.
Now I know why the 700 has a pop-up flash; it has to do with having a built in commander mode for wireless control of the CLS, which is a great system.
It's not like they needed the room for a 100% VF.

I'm not sure I get this. The story says that the 5D mkII should have adopted a sensor similar to the one on the 50D.
Isn't it? What's the distinction? They both have narrow gap microlenses, the MKII still has comparatively larger sensor sites as well. What is this technology that they have that COULD blow the competition out of the water but isn't being used?
