I'm betting they are manual focus like their predecessors. But I'm sure they needed updating since 21mp probably showed more of the flaws of the ancient older model. (since they are perfect for creating panoramic landscape shots, keep the tripod in one place and then shift the lens to the left and right: voila, instant wide panoramic in two files.)
