chicks got up high today

thought I would see there first flight for sure today. They got up about 2-3 ft above the nest but still haven't flown away from it yet

Must still be waiting for parental clearance. ; :) ; Was it windy when they were testing out their wings? ; Almost think that would give them the added push.
 
there was a slight breeze. The parents left them alone for about 15 minutes but the chicks would not leave. I have seen mom buzz around like she is showing them what to do and dad dangling fish above the nest and not giving it to them but I can only guess there wings are not quite strong enough or they don't have the confidence yet to try leaving the nest. There is strong wind today and I bet I miss the first flight but the light stinks and it is way too windy to risk sand damage to lens or body
