D300 FW update out today

Fixes the phantom empty battery problem. I never had it, but I think it's one of those issues that was fixed during production since they are producing so many at a time.

Thanks for the link. Wonder if I should use it- I have 18,600+ shots on my D300 and never a problem. ???
