Much like the photographer in Britain who took a pic moments before taking a golf ball in the chest (and sparking an internet meme of one of the spectators), an unlucky photographer setup his D700 as a remote along a drag strip for the race.

Depends on the insurance company. ; My gear is insured through work, but NPPA offers good insurance.

Most of my remotes involve basketball (overhead, floor & behind the glass) or baseball (home plate, overhead or center field). ; I want to do an underwater one but i dont have the equipment or the expertise to do that yet.
