Nov 14, 2008
Disney Cruise Line is introducing Disney Digital 3-D movie technology onboard both the Disney Wonder and Magic. Both the Buena Vista Theaters and Walt Disney Theaters will be enhanced.
The Disney Wonder will be the first to debut 3-D movies on November 20 when it features a midnight viewing of Disney's latest animated film "Bolt." Characters from Bolt will also be appearing at this movie premiere. The Disney Magic will introduce 3-D on December 6.
In 2009, stage lighting, streamers, fog and lasers will be added in the Disney cruise ship's theaters. It will be part of a once per cruise screening of a 3-D movie with special effects.
Tom McAlpin, president of Disney Cruise Line, stated "With Disney Digital 3-D we can provide extraordinary cinematic experiences for our guests that no other cruise line can offer."
