Does White Balance Matter for Fireworks?

Thanks Tim, ; I don't think I have enough foreground for that to work in this case. ; All I have is the castle and fireworks and since the colors are always changing I'm not sure what everything is supposed to look like. ; Here are two versions of the same photo:
First is WB = As Shot (which looks the same pretty much as daylight & cloudy)

Second is WB = Auto (which looks the same as Tungsten)

you know, I think I've always shot fireworks on auto wb!
If I was close to the castle though, or other buildings, I would go with Tim's thinking and take some exposures before the show starts and make sure your foreground is the right color. Of course they always turn off the lights though....

I haven't gotten anywhere neat good enough to start playing with my wb until after I have shot the photo's and for the shooting part, I always leave it on auto. ; When I get home and can play with it, I may change it, but I usually leave it alone.

Interesting because I have never shot on Auto WB. ; I'm not sure how well my camera works in that mode. ; I always try to setup the camera to the situation I am shooting. ; I do forget sometimes, but since I am shooting in RAW mode I can fix it later if I need to.
