The 18-200 and your d300 sure did good!
I love the colors and special effects they do during the Pirate and Princess. I never saw the castle in the bushes before.
I hope they do more parties this summer. I will be suprised though if they do. The P&P site is still up and running, but I have a feeling this is not the summer to continue this party since it has struggled so much.
How much noise reduction are you doing to these photos?

The castle is actually being projected onto the fence/gate there to the left of the sign.
NR? I'm usually doing A2's NR at 3.0, Edge detail of 3.0. It's not as aggressive as Noise Ninja, which I am still waiting patiently for. Here's the EXIF:
