Found out I had a sprinkler line break this morning. ; While I was digging it up, I thought I had a stone (i actually did dig up about 5) but then it had eyes.

I love amphibians. ; I like the detail on the eye in the second shot, that toad has very nice eyes.

Toads are cute! ; Nice closeup work - the eye detail is nice.

I spend many mornings in the summer pulling those out of my pool. ; Those, and the massive bufo toads we have down here. ; In fact, just pulled one out a few days ago!

What I did for the eye detail one is I put my camera down on the driveway (he stayed put for his session too!) only a few inches away from him, and used live view and zoomed in so I could see the results of using manual focus in the macro zone. ; The camera really wanted to focus behind even with adjust the focus point but at that range I'd rather trust my own eyes.
