Ain't my wife great ? Totally on her own, she snuck inside my camera bags, wrote down what I had, and went to talk with the staff photographer at her work to see if I might need anything for my camera setup for our Disney trip coming up at the end of the month. She ended up getting me a Canon BG-E4 Battery Grip for my 5D - something I had wanted but didn't expect to buy until the end of the year. She gave it to me tonight in case I wanted to try shooting with it while going to my son's "night game" tonight at the old ball park.

What a great lady !

So far, it's working out great. It's amazing how different it is to hold the camera with the battery grip attached - much more substantial, which is good (less shake for me). Also, the additional buttons for snapping vertical are a huge help.
I'll definately be bringing it on the trip in a couple weeks, though I may detach it on certains days to lessen the bulk in the camera bag.
