Were you facing backwards to get that shot?

Yea ;D Just as the vehicle was rounding the corner. I also got these.

BTW, I was using the VR II setting on my lens. It's supposed to compensate for being in a moving vehicle.

Your John Wayne is a bit more natural looking. I had my white balance setting a bit too warm. I cooled it down for Jane and Bogie.

The Edsel struck again for the WWotW. These are all I got out of her entire sequence.

Cool! Missed this thread the first time around, but I wouldn't have had anything from this ride anyway. But by coincidence, I actually took my first shots inside this ride while up there recently. I had to make do with a P&S prosumer, but at least a few came out OK:

Needed ISO400 for these:

My John Wayne was across the other side of the ride, so I was stuck with a bunch of heads in the way:

The Bogie scene was even worse - majorly dark! I went up to ISO800 which gets pretty grainy on my little P&S:

The 'follow the yellow brick road' scene was much better lighting, so ISO400 was plenty:

I've actually never photographed that ride before...in fact I hadn't been on it in probably a year and a half. Hollywood Studios is my least favorite of the 4 parks, so I rarely go in there except to stop by and see my aunt at Prime Time Cafe, or for maybe one of the stunt shows. On average, I spend less than 2 hours in HS.

This time...I decided that I hadn't gone on the Movie Ride in a long time, and that was what I walked straight over to.

Justin, what you said about the studios is interesting. I just noticed the 2007 attendance figures, and DAK is only 20k below the Studios. Unless Toy Story Mania! (Lite) is a huge hit, I'm thinking in 2008, DAK will become #3 in the World. (Disney World that is)
