I was tagged (more like drafted) to take photos during the recent Alumni Weekend in my town of Baldwinsville, New York. ; It gave me a chance to practice using flash on group photos as well as concert and fireworks. ; Having great light for backgrounds was a plus. I purchased a Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens for events such as this.

Nikon D700/24-85mm, 1/60s, f/5.6, ISO 200, EV 0, 30mm FL, manual mode, rear-sync flash at -1 power and iTTL setting
These people were not Alumni as the concert was open to the public but they wanted their photo taken so why not?

The next night the weather was off and on rain. ; Bounced the flash off the tent's ceiling here.

The lead singer from the group, Bon Jersey, a Bon Jovi tribute band.
