Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've been here and to be honest it's because I had sort of lulled off into the real world a bit. Still, I want to say that I took a lot of the advice I received back over a year ago and have been really trying to practice. I thought I'd go ahead and share some shots from our most recent trip to get your opinions... specifically some of my night shots, something I've been really trying to improve...

I have a few Epcot shots I'm going to share as well over in the Epcot threads but figured I'd start here.  ;D

I'd love some advice on how I can improve. I'm sure to some of you it's very obvious that there is a setting that could be changed to make these really pop. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome back Jenn. Tripods are usually a must for shots at night, but...

#2 is interesting. Reminds me of my first time shooting FW when I didn't know better (monopod + ISO 400 film hahahah). But you were able to fill the frame, and the motion blur, which normally would be a negative, is giving the one kind of trail a unique squiggly thing - it makes the shot interesting to me.

#3 is pretty good considering (sans tripod)

#4 is really good considering you were able to handhold it for 1.7 secs!

Thanks again Roger! #2 is by far my favorite from that night's showing of Wishes. I loved the bit of blur and the squiggles that found their way into the shot on the purple trails.

#4 took me 4 tries to get it that good without anything to lean it on. I got another shot right after where I purposely moved the camera in a bit of a zig zag while the shutter was open which created a really interesting effect. Unfortunately that shot is on photobucket which I can't reach here behind my company's proxy server.
