This guy visits our yard frequently, but is hard to get a picture of. Is this a thrush?

Yep - thrasher. ; Cool little birds - cousins of the mockingbird...nice songs they sing. ; I have them regularly nesting in my yard, and they are very personable - they come running across the deck begging for peanuts whenever I'm out there...they run sort of like a roadrunner, and come quite close chasing off the blue jays to get their nuts:
