New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge

So on Sunday I set out with my brother in law and his father to try and see 11 lighthouses and 5 rescue stations in southern NJ. ; After driving a total of 406 miles and being in the car for almost 14 hours (with stops to get out and walk around the grounds at each as well as a stop for lunch, we made it to only 11 of the 16 stops. ; We stopped at 8 of the 11 lighthouses. ; It was a good time and having Sirius radio in the car we listened to comedy most of the driving time. ; Here are some of the shots I got.

This is East Point Lighthouse, very old and run down on the inside. ; They are going to start a major renovation in the spring that has been in the planning for 10 years.

This is Absecon Lighthouse, basically at the north end of Atlantic City, and driving to this one only reaffirms that I hate Atlantic City.

This was my favorite, Barnegat Light on Long Beach Island. ;

Okay....next time I'm down to NJ, John. ; We'll have to make this run.

It was a good, time. ; If you come down, I would probably suggest to skip some, and add some others. ; But this was a special weekend to do this and all the listed ones were open.
