also heard the Thom Hogan said at an appearance that Nikon was working on a 400mm F 5.6. boy I hope that's true

This year is going to be off.

Sony's game changing APS-C sensor will be announced next month[nb]Which will probably be in the D400, but the D800 will come out first....[/nb], but won't be available until probably close to Christmas. ; I've heard that Nikon and Canon's non-consumer line timelines were pushed back by at least 6 months. ; Additionally if Sony is still in the full frame ballgame they won't have anything until 2012 in that market.
