Olympic Torch Relay comes to the GTA, Greater Toronto Area

Took the girls out of school for 20 minutes to see the flame go down Main Street Markham. Lucked out by being at an "exchange" spot. The girls got to talk to the next runner, and he let them touch the torch! Very moving. ; :)
 
My plan was to see the torch while I was visiting Charlottetown, PEI on November 21st. ; I was checked into a hotel right on the route and my flight home wasn't until late in the day so it was looking good, and the temperature was above 0 so even better. ; However, my appendix wanted nothing to do with this and ended up rupturing and leaving me alone, in a Charlottetown hospital for 10 days, no torch...no appendix. ; So now, I wait on for the torch to come to my home town, on Jan 8th. ; And being on the prairies, I am sure it will be -40 that day. ; But I'll be there none the less!!
 
we saw it in Orleans, Ontario a couple of mornings ago - saw a relay, right in front of Olympian ('76 women's rowing) Bev Cameron - met her - saw her torch lit, and another lady's extinguished - very exciting
