As someone casually interested in swordplay and fencing and that sort of thing... I can't help but think that a little guy with a short sword is woefully outclassed by a big guy with a long sword.

Still, as far as storytelling goes, it establishes Peter Pan as the underdog, I know. I guess one should take into account that the little guy can fly as well.
