I'd call this: "Iced Jasmine" (playing with the macro mode on the 28-105)

I didn't add any sharpness to any of these...didn't think I needed to...the 28-105 is very sharp on it's own, and has wonderful microcontrast.

Price is nice to boot!
 
Okay now that is just COOL. ; I don't think I have ever seen a palm tree with snow on it, in my entire life. :D ; You are having some weird, weird weather my friend. ; For you anyway. ; It's doing that right now, where I live, but it's normal, albeit exasperating.

I will take my palm trees with NO snow, thank you!
 
Why thank you! ; This was the first "powder" snow my wife and kids have experienced...our previous snowstorms have mainly been small accumulated sleet of somekind....and it's kind of odd that two days ago I was wearing t-shirt and shorts (it was 70+ out).


Also wanted to add that the color matrix metering seemed to handle the snow mainly well today.

Meh, it was mostly nothing. ; Yeah we got about 2 to 3 inches, but that's now the second freakout our town has had in the last 7 days.

Today?

The snow is gone. ; 100%. ; Converted to the liquid state of matter. ; I hope we got the Atomobiles back before MAGNIFICATION.....MAGNIFICATION....

Come on, that snow wasn't that bad! ; Didn't even stick on concrete/asphalt.

Notice the bokeh on the lichen shot?
