Stand alone vs. Plug in ?

I guess it would depend on what software you are using to handle your workflow!
I'm betting plug-in: PSP can use Photoshop plugins (plus actually I have read some incredible reports about the strength of their noise reduction already built in BTW), Bibble, Capture 1, DxO, Lightroom all include noise reduction built-in (or as a plugin).
