I was all set to bring the 80-400VR to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo's Sunset Safari in Syracuse, NY, last night when I noticed the clouds moving in. ; Decided I would need a few extra stops and brought the Nikon 70-200VR f/2.8 instead. ; I was right!

Ocelot (Not very sharp as I was hand-holding the lens at 1/3s shutter leaning against the glass enclosure. ; Could have used Tim's shooting stick for this one.)

Great work Scott! Still amazed at what you pull out of the D70, and it goes to show it's the photographer, and not the camera!

Thank you very much! ; I am squeezing every last pixel out of the D70 these days. ; Hoping to add the D700 soon. ;

Sadly, I dropped a small rock on the D70's upper LCD screen a couple of weeks ago which cracked it and made it unusable. ; Camera works fine but I am handicapped as to what I can change on the fly without the added information from that LCD. ; Looks like it would cost as much to fix as it would to replace it with a used one. ; So, for now, am using it as is.

Very nice work Scott - great selection, and good work on those tough through-the-glass shots. ; You're definitely working that camera well.
