Trip timing...

Just a question for fellow cold-weather escapists...

We have gone to Disney in May (too hot!), early December and early January. ; Both early December and early January were a nice break away from the cold, but I felt it made Christmas a bit rushed (December) and after having some Christmas break already, I wasn't craving the get away as much right after the new year in Jan. ; Mid-Jan to April is out for me because of work. ; Does anyone have any experience travelling to Disney in October and early November? ; I'm thinking the weather here might not be horrible enough yet to want to get away, but perhaps it's nicer there. ; Any feedback re. crowds, weather, availability of DVC locations, unusually high amount of rehabs/closures, etc.? ;
 
We've visitied WDW on various fall months. ; September has very very low crowds, one visit was very nice weather and my last early Sept visit was extremely uncomfortable and humid. ; We've also visited at the end of October and the Food and Wine Festival is on at Epcot and the Halloween Party at MK. ; Both events are very good, crowds were low, but Epcot was quite crowded on weekends during Food and Wine, I think ; a lot of local people visiting. ; November is also good for low crowds, as long as it's not during the U.S. Thanksgiving week. ; I find the weather is good during the fall - other than the one humid trip, and sometimes you can run into 'cooler' evenings, but for us Canadians it usually means putting on a light jacket or sweater. ; We still swam in the pool every day. ; Early Dec. is good with most of the Christmas decorations up. ; You do run into some closures which you can check in advance on the Disney website, but I love going when the crowds are low and the lines are often non-existent! ;
 
We too have traveled in the fall many times. ; Yes september is hot/humid but low crowds. ; October and begin of November are fantastic because you still have fairly warm weather, low season (low crowds except at Epcot for the Food and Wine), probably our favourite time to go. ; We like December because of all the Christmas activities going on. ; As for spring, we avoid it simply because of all the different spring breaks that fall from march to may. ; We do not like large crowds.
Try a Disney cruise, thee's only so many people on the boat and a pretty well guarantee of good weather in the carribeam.
 
With Global Warming, you never know what type of weather to expect anymore!

I've been in October where it's been super hot and also when it's been super cold!

I love travelling during MNSSHP and Food&Wine time! ; Lot's to see and do!

Like Realfam pointed out low crowds in late August and the month of September. Very hot but a great time to go.
We've also visited WDW in late January & February easy on and off all of the attractions.
 
september and october are terrific times - usually free dining (can't guarantee) on, and Mickey's Not So Scary. ; Course - getting into November, have the Very merry Christmas party - it's always wonderful to be at Disney!
 
I like late September and early October. ; Crowds are very manageable and it is still nice and warm. ; I also enjoy MNSSHP which is now a reason for us to return in these two months during future visits.
