This posting is to get the word out about little things, tips, tricks, etc. that the ordinary traveller to Disney may not know about. ; We are hoping that you will help build to this list so discover little things the other members may not know about Disney.

Ok, here is mine. ; If you go to guest services at any park, let them know you are newlyweds and on your honeymoon and they will give you a honeymoon button for both the bride and groom to wear. ; While you are walking in the parks, cast members will immediately recognize that button and ususally go out of their way, say something like congratulations or acknowledge you just to make you feel extra special on this occasion.

When making reservations for dinner make sure to tell them if you are celebrating anything special (honeymoon, anniversary, birthday) You may end up with a surprise!

We went to crystal palace for breakfast, and there was a mickey made out of confetti on our table; we also received a "certificate" and a cupcake with a candle.

Here is a little trivia tip for you ... plus a great picture opportunity. ; In Future World in Epcot, go to the west of Innovations West and take the path towards the Land pavillion. ; Here you will find a circle that has quotes from scientists surrounding it. ; If you stand in that circle, you are standing in the geographical centre of Walt Disney World. ; Kind of neat eh!

I have so many to add to this list. ;

For starters - when visiting the Magic Kingdom on your birthday - start the day off at City Hall on Main Street, here they will give you a 'It's my Birthday' button to wear all day long. ; This little button may provide something as simple as "Happy Birthday" greetings from cast members to front of the line access on various attractions.

It is all timing, but if you can be at the rope drop at the Castle, if you run over to Tinkerbelles Treasure (to the right of the Castle), be the first and you can wake up Tinkerbelle. ; After trying two times my dd (5) was able to wake Tinkey. ; She was given a wand and was told to say Wake up Tinkerbell 3X while waving her wand over Tinkeys box, then Tinkey wakes and "flies" around the room. ; Then you get a certificate marking the event. ; My dd loved it. ; PS. ; Don;t forget to look in the key hole of the drawers in the store (the drawer with the mirror on top) to see Tinkerbell appear!!

Look under the mat at the Muppetvision 3D show when you walk through the front turnstiles to the right. ; The mat is under the ticketbooth window which says " back in 5 mins, key under mat" (something like that). ; Pull the mat up and there is the key (can't remove it). ; My kids found it on the last trip and when they lifted the mat there was a certificate to mark the event.

Purchase an extra large Sharpie the characters prefer these. Also do avoid crayons, Ikea/golf pencils as they are mucb too small for there hands

If you are on a slower pace when in Epcot, ; go into the building that houses Soarin'. ; To the left of the food court (when facing the cash) is a small area where you children can make chocolate chip cookies with 2 CM's. ; The get a Jr. chef hat with there name written on it and they all have a job to do in order to make the cookies. ; The CM puts the cookies in the magic oven and presto they are made and cooled for each child to take two with them. ; My kids loved making cookies. ; I think there were about 8 kids, check the schedule to see what times it runs. ; Its a great photo op. and just gives everyone a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the day.

Here's another for Epcot. ; To keep the kiddies interested when going around the World Showcase at Epcot, you can spend about $10 and buy a passport that comes with stickers and a button. ; Each time you stop at a kidcot funstop in each country the CM will stamp your book and write a message to your child in their language. ; Also if you do not want to spend the $$, you can pick up a free mask on a stick that they can colour in and they can get stamps and a card that hangs from it that best describes that country. ; Remember at the end to tell the last CM that you are done and you will get a congrats. poster.

Also there are various kidcot stops (check your map) around Epcot that are not associated with the world showcase ones. ; For instance when you leave soarin there is a bug one. ; The give each child card on a lanyard that they attach various cards shaped as a car, pylon, bug etc. ; Kids can colour them as well and they learn something as they do it. ; Great keepsakes and lots of fun.

When entering Animal Kingdom before rope drop head thru Rainforest Cafe. There is an entrance to the park at the back of the shop that very few people know about. This can save a few minutes in line at the turnstiles.

Heres another..................at Tom's Sawyer's Island at MK, catch the boat over and have your kids hunt for 1 of 4 paint brushes that are hidden. ; Then hand in your brush and get a fast past. ; Once they are all found thats it for the day though. ; Happy hunting!!!

When at MK, ride Cinderella's carousel but look for Cinderella's horse. ; Word is that her horse is the white one with the gold ribbon on it's tail. ; The only horse with a ribbon. ; It is the second horse in it's row.

If you need to rent a stroller for the little ones purchase a multi day stroller rental you prepay for as many days as you need and save $2 per day. If you purchased days you didn't end up using no worries Disney will refund the unused days. The hugh benefit is that you don't have to wait in the payment line every day which can get quite long. Go straight to the pickup line and they will stamp a ticket. (By the way I recommend purchasing an umbrella stroller and give it away at the end of the trip if you don't want to bring it home. You save a ton of money and make someone elses day)

I totally agree with the Umbrella stroller thing. Ours died on day 2 of our last trip, purchased a new one for $45 from the resort (which was cheaper than 6 more days of rentals.)

You can call the restaurant you are eating at and order a special occasion cake to be delivered to your table. ; Depends on the location but you can get whatever you can imagine!!!! ; Castle cakes, mickey shaped etc.

When you want a break from the hustle and bustle and heat, go watch Carousel of Progress, or ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA) - any lines that might exist move very quickly; and you're sure to enjoy the rest. ; DD8 loves the TTA, and going into the bowels of Space Mountain - we still chuckle at the page for Mr. Tom Morrow.

Typhoon Lagoon Tips

- Don't forget your sunscreen.

- Disposable underwater cameras, which are great for taking pictures on all of the water attractions, are available for purchase at Singapore Sal's near the main entrance.

- There's no need for waterproof watches - you can always check the time on the Park's Clock Tower.

- Bring water shoes when visiting the Water Parks. The ground can get hot and so will your feet.

- Many Disney Cast Members are fluent in more than one language. Their nametags indicate which languages they speak.

- Measure your child's height before you arrive at the Park so you know which attractions he or she is able to ride. All height requirements are listed on this Web site.

- Study a map of the Park prior to your arrival to become familiar with the location of the attractions that interest you most.

- We recommend wearing one-piece swimsuits on the more thrilling attractions, including Humunga Kowabunga at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Summit Plummet at Disney's Blizzard Beach. In addition, swim attire with rivets, buckles or exposed metal is not permitted on the attractions.

- Lockers, towels and life vests for children are available for rent. Life vests are provided free of charge for Guests who wish to leave an identification card.

- Arrive early if you wish to secure a lounge chair.

- Learn to surf at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon before the Park opens. Call (407) WDW-PLAY (939-7529) for reservations.

- Disney's Water Parks have quick service restaurants and snack stands with a variety of offerings. There are also picnic areas where you may enjoy your own food, however, please note that no alcoholic beverages or glass containers are permitted.

- Parking and inner tube usage are included with admission in each Water Park.

- When arriving at the Parks, start at the back of the Park and make your way to the front, since the Parks tend to fill up faster in the front.

- Tired of zipping down water slides? Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have "lazy rivers" that circle the entire Park. Hop in and relax.

- During the busy summer months, the best time to visit a Disney Water Park is after 3 pm
