WDW announces New Fantasyland will open to honor Pixelmania 2012

Just kidding about the last part, it's opening on December 6, previews to begin the weeks before hand.

Just in the morning and afternoons, in the evenings .. it should be quiet

That and the first evening it is open is the Christmas Party... So limited crowds to some extent. ; Might be a good time to do a mermaid ride thru or two before parade and fireworks.

I wonder if they will be doing the "no cameras" policy like TDA did for the previews. ; Apparently the November 19 date is when the land will soft-open, and the actual previews (AP, DVC, CM, VIP, Castle Suite paid visitors) will take place before that date....

That would indeed be an interesting time to check it out, but I'm going to go for the cast previews, just sayin'
