Where are you staying for MouseFest?

Well, I guess I'm not part of the cool crowd! I'll be staying at SSR. I have DVC and it was the only place I could get into at the last minute. But I am WAY excited to be coming - 5 days to go! See you all there. Barrie

Since it got below 0 degress centigrade, one decided to come in the house.

we own there too (200 pts) but we didnt want to spend the pts for a 1 bedroom villa when we are going to use them next summer. we got a $59/nite deal to stay at pop century which seemed worth it for us. i had wasting dvc pts when i can go for 10-13 days next year as opposed to 7. see you guys there.

We actually own at VWL but have never stayed there. This was a last minute trip for me. Yesterday was my last day at my job (am semi-retiring - woo-hoo!) and this trip is my treat. So I have to do it as cheaply as possible. Of course that didn't stop me from buying a bunch of camera stuff: new camera bag, polarizer filter, remote shutter release and another 1GB card - but I think these were all necessities! If I could find that 18-200 VR lens anywhere I would have bought it too!

now that AKL has gone DVC, we are actually gonna get the chance to stay there! what buffet is so great? i've never been to AKL but hopefully that will change sometime soon.

The buffet at AKL is Boma, Flavors of Africa, home to the best prime rib at WDW (better than Chef Mickeys), home to the famous Zebra Dome chocolate desert, and a bunch of other African-style menu items. Not all of the stuff on the menu appeals to me, but there is enough that Boma is a great meal every time.

Being neither cool nor a kid, I'll be at Caribbean Beach. Couldn't believe it was the only place available when I booked back in early September.
 
We're staying at Port Orleans. Wish we were staying at AKL, but at least we will be having dinner at Boma during the week - it's one of our favorite restaurants. Tim, you really should try it!

Thanks, Tim! I'll be sure to put them first on my list the next time my wallet shows any kind of abnormal activity. :D
