i don't usually go all serious here, but today the jamesport fire department sponsored a water station as part of a wounded warrior fundraising team run. i believe 100 miles. below are some of the shots i took as they came by our setup
6-1-2, our oldest pumper, a 1984 pierce, soon to be a ceremonial unit when the new pierce dash arrives

they run in 2 person teams, the rest in one of the support vehicles, switching off every 5 miles
handing off the water, it was hot, they drank some, and dumped a lot over themselves
but they never wavered carrying the flag
