I was taking photos of the native girls, but they weren't developed. [rimshot]
(OK, that joke made more sense in the olden days when I shot film. That's what I get for stealing from Groucho Marx.)

Couple of T-6 trainers (they all end up with slightly different designations based on the manufacturer and whether it was navy or Army Air Force.)

We did get some shots with a little blue sky in the background. Here come Fifi, the only flying B-29 (but Doc is a coming!)

The Helldiver, not one of the Navy's most popular planes.

But still one of mine! Nice one @ddindy! I wonder how our super talkative waitress is doing in Colorado these days?

Probably still talking up a storm.

Oh, and in case you were wondering that I found so intriguing in that first shot of the thread, it was the mess tent.

For some bizarre reason, this Mustang is called Red Nose. I don't know where they come up with those crazy names.

There's FiFi, but where are the other birds - MiMi, GiGi, Collette, etc?

Did you hear that Doc flew in early November?

    Whatever happened to Rosita?

I did see that Doc has passed another round of test flights. Glad to see them getting closer and closer to flying the show circuit.

I was really impressed with the number and variety of re-enactors at the show. When we stumbled upon the Soviet encampment, they were starting the day with the national anthem. It seemed to go on forever (but it was really only four minutes).

A couple of paratroopers drop in on the action. Disney connection: The C-46 Commando is called The Tinker Belle.
Try as I might, I couldn't get this to look as good as I wanted; balancing the bottom of an airplane against an overcast sky is beyond my current skill level.
