The Beach Club (BC) is a 583 room resort which has guest rooms and conference facilities. It is styled after the New England seaside at the turn of the century and the seashore theme is evident throughout. The Beach Club is joined in the center with the Yacht Club. Together they share Stormalong Bay and transportation facilities. There is a quiet serenity to the BC in the early morning.

    Resort Layout:
It is adjacent to the Yacht Club and across the water from the Boardwalk area. The Swan and Dolphin are also within walking distance. This availability provides a wide range of dining and recreational options without ever entering a motorized vehicle. ; The resort is a short walk away from Epcot as well.

The Beach Club is very large and winding inside. When you first get there, if your room is at one of the far ends...you'll feel like you're walking forever... It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with how to get around the hotel early in your stay. There is a single elevator near the quiet pool side of the resort; access may be easier for you to use that elevator than walking to the main bank located near the lobby.

Some rooms have full walk-out balconies, others do not. Some ground floor rooms have walk out patios.

There are a few rooms at the Beach Club called King Sico Rooms. These rooms have a king size bed that could potentially fold up into the wall (via housekeeping service). There is a small area with a love seat and coffee table; a sink and counter top; and a table and two small chairs.

The Junior Suite - provides a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed, a large walk-in closet and an easy chair. An additional person can be accommodated with the daybed sofa in the living area. French doors separate the living area from the bedroom for additional privacy.

Two Bedroom Suite - an expansive living room distinguishes this suite which features two bedrooms. The parlor is perfect for informal meetings and has a wet bar and a daybed sofa. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and a spacious closet. An additional bedroom, which can accommodate up to 5 people, is furnished with 2 queen size beds and a daybed sofa.

The Nantucket Suite - An extended balcony and a spacious parlor distinguishes the amenities of this one bedroom, one and a half bath deluxe suite, ideal for small gatherings and meetings. The parlor is furnished with a sofa and table for private dining and is adjacent to a wet bar. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and a large jacuzzi-style bath.

The Newport Suite - The fine appointments of this Presidential Suite located on the 5th floor create an elegant atmosphere. The balcony extending from each room in the suite provides a view of Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake. A formal living room is arranged around a fireplace. A dining room table adjacent to a wet bar for easy service is available to accommodate a party of 8. The master bedroom is furnished with two queen-size beds, a large walk-in closet and a large jacuzzi style bath. An additional connecting junior suite may be added.
The Presidential - a spacious sitting area located in the tower provides a view of Stormalong Bay, while a more formal living room is arranged around a fireplace. A dining room table adjacent to a wet bar for easy service is available to accommodate a party of eight. The extra large bathroom includes an oversized walk-in shower and jacuzzi style bath. The suite can accommodate a part of two with a king-size bed or a party of six with the connecting bedroom. Two additional bedrooms, each with 2 queens beds can connect.

    Dining:
Beaches and Cream is a '50s type hotshop serving burgers, hot dogs, soups, grilled cheese, and of course ice cream. It is small and noisy but fun. There are a few small tables and chairs outside Beaches and Cream you can also sit at.

Beach Club Market Place - Opened April 2005 and offers quick service foods and gelato!
The Cape May Cafe hosts a daily character breakfast buffet (7:30 - 11:00) featuring Beachy Goofy and his friends. This has to be one of the largest amounts of breakfast foods I've ever seen. In the evening, the Cafe hosts a Clam Bake buffet. Folks seem to love the Seafood Buffet!

There are also 2 lounges, the Rip Tide and Martha's Vineyard. Martha's is open evenings only -- it's a full bar, but also offers "flights" of wine.

Hurricane Hanna's is a poolside full-service bar which also serves food (burgers, hotdogs, etc,). Hurricane Hanna's offers a refillable mug program. You purchase a mug ($11.99 including tax) and have it filled with a beverage; refills are the same price as everyone else pays but you get 4 ounces more liquid. Hurricane Hanna's is open 11 am-6 pm during the summer; 11 am - 5 pm during the winter.

Less than a 2-minute walk away is the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. The Yacht Club Galley reopened June 16, 2002 for breakfast and lunch. The Yacht Club also has the Ale and Compass Lounge where you can get alcoholic beverages during the day. Within walking distance are the Dolphin/Swan, Boardwalk and all the Epcot restaurants.

    Recreation:
    Pool
On the side of the Beach Club that is closer to Epcot is a courtyard with a Quiet Pool. The quiet pool has its own supply of towels. There is no lifeguard at the Quiet Pool. The Yacht Club has a similar quiet pool.

    Health Club
Ship Shape Health Club is located between the Beach and Yacht Club resorts next to Lafferty Place Arcade and open from 6 am to 9 pm. Membership is free to Yacht Club resort guests for the length of their stay. Disney Vacation Club members may use the facilities free if they are staying at a Disney resort. Guests from other Disney resorts can use the facilities for $12/day, based on availability. Equipment includes Nautilus, Hammer Strength and aerobic machines as well as a spa, steam room, sauna and massage therapy. Massages are available from 8 am to 8 pm by appointment only.

    Jogging
Jogging route maps are available from Lobby Concierge (Guest Services) or from the Ship Shape Health Club.

    Volleyball
A sand court is located on the Beach Club side of the complex. Equipment use is complimentary for BC/YC guests and may be obtained at the Stormalong Bay Towel Window.

    Arcade
Lafferty Place Arcade is located next to the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.

    Watercrafts
Bayside Marina is located in a small building to the right of the pier (facing the lake) and services guests from both the Yacht Club and Beach Club daily from 11am to 5pm.

    Miniature Golf
Fantasia Gardens - is located across from the Swan/Dolphin hotels. Here you can enjoy mini-golf at its best.

    Shopping
The Atlantic Wear and Wardrobe Emporium was redesigned in 2005 and is now called the Beach Club Marketplace. Here you will find BC logo-merchandise, swimwear and resort wear), books, sundries, suncare, candy, some snacks and same day film processing as well as a Gelato Bar and some prepackaged fresh food to go.

The Yacht Club also has the Fittings and Fairings Clothes and Notions store located off it's main lobby. The two stores have both similar and different merchandise. If you still can't find what you are looking for; check the Swan and Dolphin and Boardwalk stores.

    Transportation:
One of the best reasons for staying at the Beach Club is that you are just a short walk from Epcot. You can exit the lobby (pool side) and head left. Or, if you're staying at the far end of the hotel (near the quiet pool), go out through the Quiet Pool area and head left. You're about 5-10 minutes along the river stream to the International Gateway. As you approach the turnstyles, you'll see the tram area which was used after the hotel opened to transport guests to the Beach Club/Yacht Club and the Swan/Dolphin until the Boardwalk construction began. When you enter the gates, you are in the World Showcase, France is over to your right and the UK is in front to the left.

There is also a boat that provides service for the Boardwalk and Beach Club/Yacht Club and Swan and Dolphin ...however this loop could take up to 20 minutes and the walk is much quicker. Epcot boats are on the left side of the dock when facing the water.

Magic Kingdom - Exiting the front lobby (parking lot side), turn left to go to the Bus Depot. You can take a bus directly to the Magic Kingdom from here. Bus also stops at the Yacht Club and Boardwalk Resorts.

Animal Kingdom - There is bus service from BC to AK. The AK bus *does* stop at the Swan and Dolphin, in addition to YC, BC, and BW.

Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney and for the Water Parks - Go to the Bus Depot for transportation. Busses will say Downtown Disney and also stop at Pleasure Island. The same bus that goes to Downtown Disney may very well take you to Typhoon Lagoon.

Some trips were non stop and some went via PI/DD. There is a separate bus for Blizzard Beach. Buses also travel to the Yacht Club and Boardwalk.

Disney-MGM Studios - On the Waterside of the YC/BC is the transportation boat dock. Here you can board the boat that will take you to the Disney MGM-Studios as well as Epcot. Note that this boat makes additional stops for guests at the Boardwalk resort and Swan and Dolphin. You can also walk to the Disney MGM-Studios via the walkway behind the Boardwalk Villas.

Note that the hotel bus service route include stops at the Boardwalk and Yacht Club and then Beach Club. Some Bus runs include stops at the Swan and Dolphin others do not. The water routes include one stop for the Yacht and Beach Club Marina, the Boardwalk, and the Swan and Dolphin.

If you are already in Epcot, you can go to the monorail by exiting through Future World and take the monorail to TTC. From there you can go to the Magic Kingdom or any of the hotels. If you are coming from the Magic Kingdom, you can take the monorail to Epcot , walk through Future World into World Showcase (on the right or Canada side) and proceed to the BC/YC.

    Rates:
Just like the other WDW hotels, there are Value Season, Regular Season, Peak Season and Holiday Season rates. Rates begin at $289 a night. These are regular rate prices and do not include the 6.5% Florida Sales Tax nor the 11.5% county resort tax. Rates are based on double occupancy. No charge for children under 17 years old when in the same room as the adults.

Most rooms have a maximum five-person occupancy per room. Prices are per room, and there is an additional adult charge of $25 per adult per night for more than two adults in a room.

    Extra Information:
You can sit on the Beach and see the high Fireworks from IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. With the addition of the bridge to the Boardwalk, there is another good viewing area for the IllumiNations Reflections of Earth Fireworks. You can also see the fireworks from the Disney-MGM Studios. Walk over the to Boardwalk and stand near the BoardWalk Fries vendor cart and you can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom too.

Complete birthday party facilities, including cake, balloons and entertainment are available through the Sandcastle Club. You can even schedule a special Birthday Pontoon boat for IllumiNations (big bucks however). Call the Sandcastle Club or ask at Guest Services for details.

The Pressed Quarter and Penny Machines are located on the walkway outside of Beaches and Cream and just outside the entrance to the Cape May Cafe.

On the water side of the Beach Club on the public walkway, you will find a portable espresso and frozen drink bar as well as tattoos and hair braiding booths.
