Fall-y pics

Discussion in 'Non Disney Photos / Mobile Phone Photos' started by mainstreet1997, Oct 12, 2008.

  1. The only reason I have been looking forward to Fall is to take pictures of the beautiful colors. That time has finally come so I went to a local recreation area (retention pond that they built a path, a park and a patio around) and took my Canon A630 with me.

    Enjoy!

If anyone else has or takes any great Fall pictures maybe we can create a thread!

I must admit I'm jealous since I live in a part of the country that's not privy to those amazing fall scenes. We just don't get that vast array of color down here. But we're not without fall beauty... after all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or camera-holder as the case may be).

Not sure what the REAL name of this is but my mother-in-law calls it a "horse apple" because they used to feed them to their horses.

The weather around upstate NY the last few days has been perfect. Though this was taken in mid-day sun, you get the idea of how colorful it was in the Lake George, NY area where I visited over this past weekend.

The leaves are at their peak here in southern New Hampshire. They're about a week earlier than usual.

Nature really did put on a show for us this Fall. Hope it doesn't mean an early Winter. ::)

Beautiful! I remember last year, it was late October before the colors really came out around upstate NY. We are about 2 weeks earlier this year.

    Great shots everyone!

I think the colors being early is a good sign that there is a nasty winter in store for the mid-atlantic and northeast. Just a feeling, but we are due for one.

    Michael,

Great shots of the foliage and the train. Nice setup and a very timeless feeling to them.
