I knew there was a good reason I brought my camera with me to work today....right as I was arriving home this rainbow was in the canyon behind our neighborhood.

Looks like the rain is coming for us now..

Roger that is a great catch, it might be a little tough to see, but if you look to the right of the rainbow, you can actually see a second rainbow. ; These are pretty rare, and this is now the second photo of this that i have seen in 2 days. ; Thanks for posting.

Nice call on the double rainbow Poly! ; I didn't see it until I read your post and scrolled back up to look for it. ; I don't think I've ever seen a double, but I did see the end of a rainbow once.

How big was the pot 'o gold? ;)

There wasn't a pot at the end, which leads me to believe that the lepreachan must have burried it. ; We thought about digging, but somehow I think that the state highway department might get a little unhappy if I dug up one of their roads to find out ; ;D

Nice to see you got some rain in Texas, Roger. ; I see nature provided a little celebration of it's own. ; I have yet to photograph a rainbow as they are very rare around here. ; Not to mention a double one. ; Beautiful!

Thanks everyone!

And Scott, yeah - finally did - although a little too much - we got about 9 inches the last 3 days of last week. ; About 30 mins north of here got 12 inches in 6 hours so they had to shut down the freeway because it was flooded.

But I live near the top of a hill so everything flows off the property :)[nb]But we do have a flood control dam in the nature preserve behind our backyard[/nb]
