Barrel Racing the Wrong Way

No, this is not a post about riders and horses crashing. Thankfully. No this is about having the wrong camera and lens because I forgot to plan ahead. I knew this event was going to take place but did not bring a fast sports lens or camera. Instead I had the Nikon D750 with the 28-300VR f/3.5-5.6 super zoom. So, what to do? Use ISO 12,800 at 1/500th of a second and lots of noise reduction in Lightroom.
