Bronx Zoo Birds!

For Father's day we headed up to the Bronx Zoo. ; I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised with the zoo. ; The last time I was there was some 30 years ago, so I remembered very little. ; I had a blast taking pictures and trying to catch up to my wife and daughter.

Here are a bunch of shots of different birds, many I have never seen and have no idea what they are. ; Let the guessing game begin!!!

This guy I did not even notice, my wife pointed him out!

This guy reminded me of a goldfinch, only the red was a dead give-away!

I was thinking Carolina Parakeet on #1, but thought they might be extinct too, so most likely not. ; Great shots though.

those last 2 shots are very good John. no idea what birds they are but
I can tell you they are not at forsythe
 
Thanks Howie! ; Some of the rooms had good lighting, others not so good. ; Those pink long bill things had great lighting and were very close.
 
Great shots indeed! ; I haven't been to that zoo in forever myself. ; I guess the next time that I am up that way, I should try and get there. ;

There were a ton of these in the outside aquatic birds pen flying around, none of my in flight shots were any good.
