Well I'm going to follow Ham Ham's lead and put it here.
All and all it was a good trip but the drive down took a lot out of me this time. I do most of the driving and it took a few days to come out of 'it'.
I always get a kick out of the run away ramps, it's silly I know.
This was our welcome to Disney, rain to which you needed to drive 20 klm's per hour just to make sure you don't hit someone or the other way around.
The first night was spent at DHS. It was a light rain all night so I figured it would be a good time to see Toy Story. NOT, 70 minute wait in the rain. I'll see it another night.
We stayed at CSR and found it wasn't for the us. It was a great place but it seemed to be missing something for us, can't put my finger on it. Would I stay there again, yes but not our first choice.

We went to Kennedy Space Center one day in the first week, man it was cold, 12C according to the truck. I loved it but Amy hated it.
This is the Rocket Garden at the visitor center. Seeing what these guys rode into Space in real size is incredible. The amount of tecnology in these things was down right scary, one of the guides said a modern calculator has more power. Up until the Saturn rockets, the rockets they rode into space were modified ICBM's. Riding a bomb into space, those guys had guts, The Right Stuff no kidding!

In the Garden there are displays that you can touch and crawl around. This is a F1 motor for the Saturn 5, I came up to the tube thing on the bell, it towered over me.
This is the launch platform where the Apollo 1 crew died on the launch pad during a test. It is now a National Monument.
I just love the Saturn 5 and everything about it. To see the one on display was just amazing. These things were 36 stories tall and weighing 6 million pounds. It took 5 F-1 rockets to lift this sucker off the ground with 7.5 million pounds of thrust that propelled the rocket to 6000 mph and 38 miles high in under 3 minutes.They say at the time, the launch of a Saturn 5 was the loudest man made noise other than a nuclear bomb.
This one is an actual rocket that was part of the Moon program. The program was stopped because they decided to go ahead with the Space Shuttle program, so instead of scraping it they put it on display.
