Disney is going to stream their "big" announcement tomorrow

Based on some chatter I'm seeing tonight, I'm guessing that Epcot is going to be getting some TLC. ; Granted, this could be the "official" unveiling of Duffy, but the cat was already out of the bag on that one.

But it's being tweeted that as of 10/3, they're going to stop playing games at Epcot and keep Future World open til park close rather than closing at 7. ; Perhaps the rumors of a new pavilion are true.

But will the celebration be? ; A 24 month celebration of the 40th birthday of MK? ; Disneyland got Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye for its' 40th birthday......
 
Well, I hope there is more to announce than just the "Let's Make Memories" website. ; Flashing pics across the castle is cool and all, but didn't really need the hype everyone was hoping for...

If the pictures thing is what I'm imagining I'm a little terrifying. If they are planning on using photopass pics I'm scared. I don't look all that hot in those!

Funny thing is that in this months Reader's Digest there was an article about annoying fads. ; Included in them were things like saying "Huh?" to everything, saying "Just Saying" after having said something demeaning, and the best on of all... Companies having the Consumer provide the advertising (such as the Dorito's contest to make the next best Superbowl Commercial)... ; If you read the Disney Blog article about the announcement alot more people are upset of this "Mega-Announcement"...
 
It's the same thing as the "give a day, ; get a day" promotion. ; It puts the onus on the guest to participate and make it a success. ; If it fails, ; they can blame you for its lack of success. ; I was hoping for a bigger announcement. ;

We shall see....
 
I'm ordering the iron-on letters for my shirt this weekend... ; was thinking that a hat with a big red "NO" symbol over the Photopass logo might work as well.

As for announcements, the thing we need to take away from this is that the shorter the amount of time we have to speculate over the hype, the less hype it really deserves.

Looks as if FutureWorld IS going to be staying open later starting in October. ; I saw this on Allears.net today...

Effective October 3, 2010, Epcot's Future World will extend its operating hours to 9 p.m. nightly. Starting November 26, both Future World and World Showcase in Epcot will be open until 9:30 p.m. due to the holiday season. On these evenings, IllumiNations will be performed at 9:30 p.m. Both areas will be open until 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve, with IllumiNations scheduled for 7:30 and 11:40 p.m. As of January 1, both areas revert to their 9 p.m. closing time, at least through April 2011.

future world staying open is LONG overdue.
