Well Howie, you helped inspire me to do something to get me out taking pictures again, so I'm trying something new....

I'm going to try again and maybe also get up early Saturday for the partial eclipse.

what lens did you use Roger ? ; I find that having a half moon works well as the shadow helps define the craters

The Tamron 200-500. ; Yeah I think that the non-full moon helps....maybe also why I want to get up early Saturday morning!
