Gumpisms!!!

Sunday I ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp in NYC. ; One of the things they have are these planks of wood with quotes from the movie. ; This was a favorite movie for my wife and I, so needless to say I went around and shot all the ones near table that were not occupied. ; Here is the first!

My favorite Gumpism has always been:

"That's mah boaaat..."

Although a close second is:

"Greenbow AlaBAMa!"

I'm also fond of:

"But you ain't got no legs, Lt. Dan."

"He got a daddy named Forrest, too?"

"That's all I have to say about that."

And of course, the classic Bubbaism:

"Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it."
 
John F. Kennedy: Congratulations, how do you feel?
Forrest Gump: I gotta pee.
John F. Kennedy: I believe he said he had to go pee. Heh heh.
 
I use that one often in my classroom. ; Funny thing, I did not see it around the restaurant. ; It may have been near a table that had people at it so I didnt stop to look or take a picture.
