Haunted Mansion

I took this over the weekend. Such a stark contrast between the red rose and the eerie Haunted Mansion.

Here is a pic of the HM I took a long time ago. Not the best but I like it.

I've always enjoyed post-processing the Haunted Mansion pics to give it the 'haunted' feel. This one I took during Mousefest was in bright sunlight and happy sky, but after processing, it looks more foreboding and ominous:

now that is outstanding, makes hm look just like what it's themed after, one of the hudson river valley estate houses in winter

I just got back from a wonderful 4 night trip! Here's my new HM shot, did a little tinkering in raw and came up with these colors.

you are making me feel woefully inadequate with this series, how about alittle technical info on the infrared shots, i'm beginning to get some interest in that, i was never a fan of it before but it looks like wdw can make that style shine

The first (infrared) shot was made with my Sony DSC-V1 and hoya R72 infrared filter. Shot settings were f2.8 @ 1/30 seconds, ISO 100, handheld. As for post processing I use my infrared work flow located here http://www.pbase.com/catson/color_infrared_workflow.
For the second shot I used my canon 20D and Canon 17-40mm lens. Shot settings were f8 @ 1/320 seconds, ISO 100. As for post processing I just played around with the color settings in RAW and got those interesting colors, I also did a slight smart blur layer mask, and a slight diffused glow layer.
