Howie's New BIG Glass

Looks like I am not the only one who recently purchased a BIG lens...

you are correct Roger. My lens is bigger too by about 1 inch. yes we measured them

yea Tim. the 55-200 with vr. I was out for 10 minutes and missed UPS dag nabbit so tomorrow delivery now and gotta hang out all day waiting and it is supposed to be real nice weather

Don't you just hate when you miss UPS? ; They have a policy of not leaving anything at our apartment complex (it's a <mess>) because there have been past thefts (not surprised/don't blame them). ; Their normal schedule coincided with class all semester for me, and work for Sarah. That meant if I missed them twice, I would have to skip class and wait for them so we didn't miss them on the final time (after which they immediately sent the item back to the sender). ; In Indy, I have no problem getting UPS to ship to an alternate address, but the UPS in this area (based near Gary, IN...) refused to do that.

I had no idea a sig was needed for the lens. When they delivered my D90 they left it and I was home and they didn't even knock on the door let alone ask for a sig. oh well not the end of the world. things could always be alot worse

So when are you making the trip to Forsythe with it? ; That is presuming you aren't already there today since it is so perfect out.
