I Blame Insomnia

Uh-Oh. I should really stay off B&H's website in the wee hours of the morning. ::)

Looks like my paypal account is drained and I have a new FX f2.8 zoom on the way. Anyone want to take a guess on which one? :D

That's what I was going to guess... That's an awesome lens. I got one two weeks ago when I upgraded to the D700

I'm jealous. I want to upgrade to the D300 like Craig has, but cannot justify the $$$

Nooo- Good guess but I don't think I could justift that much $$$ on an ultra wide. I decided to get the 24-70/2.8 which is still a lot but is my most used focal range.

I will post a few pictures when I get it- hopefully tomorrow. 8)

Yeah- pretty much just the 180 at this point- unless you count the 80-400vr. I sold the 70-200vr because it vignetted so bad on FX. I keep reading they are going to update that one soon.

Thanks Craig. I got the camera right before I went to Williamsburg two weekends ago and was just amazed by what that camera can do. It was so nice not to have to fight with it to get the white balance right like I did with my D2Xs or worry about the pictures getting really grainy at 400 ISO.

Ray, Keep an eye on the D300 price. One of the rumors I've seen is that they're going to announce the D400 in early December which would drive the D300 price down.

Jeff, the 24-70 is a very nice lens. If I didn't already have the old 28-70, I would have gotten that one too.

Okay- I forgive the insomnia. I must say this lens on the D700 rocks. Here is some of what I bought it for- my munchkins. :-*
