jamesport fire dept in action wed night 12/14/11 about 2210, tool time has a completely different meaning for us, head on on sound avenue about 1/2 mile east of my house, white van westbound with pd in pursuit, head on into eastbound backup officer, both drivers airlifted to stony brook trauma center, van driver charged with dui drugs, police officer in stable condition in icu with lacerated leg and blunt force trauma to leg and side, vest probably helped save his life, ironically his relief point is our firehouse, we know him well, and in october while i was at pixelmania his quick response and clear headed thinking saved the life of one of our own fireman. so we have been sending visitors and offering assistance to his family. first photo isn't clear, but the fireman on the right on the ground is me in full gear and pack, repacking the crosslay, police car was smoldering so we had to pull a line and put some water on it during the extrication of the van driver, police officer self extricated. my engine driver took these with a little point n shoot we keep on the rig
