Mickey's Fire Sword

Mickey Mouse welding his fire sword in Fantasmic!

Used the Nikon 70-200VR f/2.8 lens and my tripod (as a monopod with legs folded). Cleaned up the noise from an older sensor with Noise Ninja.
 
mickey is very nice and sharp. ; impressive.
one thing that caught my eye, though, is did you knock down the highlights in the sparks? ; they seem muddier than the rest of the pic, which is fantasmic!

The highlights in the sparks went with the highlights I had to reduce elsewhere in the photo. ; Aperture 2 doesn't have the brushes which might have allowed me to keep the fireworks less muddy. ; Although, the fireworks were very blown out.
