Here's the newest addition to the Polynesian, Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. It's hard to find, with one unassuming door leading into the place. But once inside it's a massive explosion of Tiki culture with a Disney twist. Note the diving helmet from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea that's been turned into an aquarium. This is just what's on part of the wall above the bar. The whole room is full of stuff like this.

A highlight from the first visit to Trader Sam's by @ExploringWDW and me was the Shrunken Zombie Head. Highly recommended, both the drink and the bar. (But the bar is better after 8 pm when they throw the kids out.)

Once I have a few minutes to do something, I'll have some shots from Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar. It has a similar atmosphere and kitsch level. Also a similar small size.

For those of you planning to hit Trader Sam's Thursday evening after Universal, please study the rules of the house. (Though to be honest, I think they only apply to Jungle Cruise skippers.)
