I'm thinking about skipping Mickey's Christmas Party during Pixelmania this year. ; Anyone else looking for alternative activities?

Some things that come to mind:
Shooting Holiday Wishes from Bay Lake Tower.
Monorail resort Christmas decorations.
A return visit to Yehaa Bob.

Something that's off the wall would be a trip to the Downtown Disney cinema to see Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, a Rifftrax Live event. ; Tickets are $12.50 in advance. ; If you're not familiar with Rifftrax, they're the people responsible for Mystery Science Theater 3000.
 
Gillian and I are probably skipping the party this year too. We would be most interested in getting up to BLT for Holiday Wishes but I am just as interested in just getting into the Top Of the World Lounge. Any DVC members skipping the party???
 
I may be skipping it too. ; I'm always up for the BLT roof shoot as an idea, but would also love to do Holidays around the MK Resorts via Monorail...maybe including the boat over to Wilderness Lodge for theirs too.

Any idea how busy it will be up there on a party night? What time would you think we would want to be there? I'm thinking if we leave MK at 7, we walk over to the Contemporary to shoot the Holiday decor there before setting up for the 9:30 fireworks. After the fireworks we can do the monorail loop and WL. Of course I would need some time at the Top Of The World Lounge to browse the bar menu too...

That is on my agenda for some point during Pixelmania. ; You can sleep on the plane.
 
A couple of us did that last year on Tuesday night and it wasn't crowded at all. ; I think we set up tripods just before the last Magic Memories and You show prior to the fireworks and we were the only people outside at that time. ; There were only 10-15 other people at TotWL that night.
 
I did this last year too on the MVMCP night - two of us only decided to head up there...wasn't too crowded at all - maybe 50-60 people up there, and it's plenty large with about 120-150 feet or more of wall space overlooking MK.
 
In all my times up there (some 10 or so) it has never been crowded. ; There is PLENTY of space for the tripods. ;

I too am hoping to do the Monorail Resorts sometime during Pixelmania but I'll be attending the party so I am not sure when I will get to that.

And I suggest the Blue Glowtini! ; My favorite non-beer at WDW!
 
I havent decided on going to the party or not, but might do it earlier in the week to hit the character meet-n-greets only (all 7 Dwarves is a must do). ; If I skip out of the party I'd be up for TotWL. ; Bonus perk is that I am satying at BLT so I wont have far to go.
