Narrow Depth of Field!!

While playing in manual the other day, I had to use very wide aperature, and this was the result:

Cool, isn't it! ; It can be really fun and challenging to find subjects to isolate using that super-shallow DOF. ; When I first got my 300mm F4 lens, I experimented with some shots of squirrels in my yard, enjoying the shallow DOF for that similar foreground & background blur:

Love it!!! ; So cool seeing the blurred sidewalk before and after the critter!!
